Samaritan's Purse
Thanks for a great job collecting for the Operation Christmas Child this year. Be sure and check out the note under the Youth section about an exciting trip coming up on December 12th-14th.
We received a note from Samaritan's Purse, who is the sponsor of this program, saying they seemed to be falling short of the goal they set for this year. If you would like to fix additional boxes to send up with the youth, they would be greatly appreciated. |

Christmas At UBC
Here is a recap of the Christmas activities at UBC:
Sunday, December 20th, 6:00 PM The Night Before Christmas. Gather for a celebration of an old-fashioned Christmas. From cookie decorating to hot chocolate, from the Christmas story to an old-fashioned carol sing, from Santa Claus to baby Jesus. This is going to be a fun evening for the entire family. Bring your children in their pajamas and come join us for an evening of relaxed fun. Sunday, December 21st 10:45 AM Christmas Sunday. It's Christmas Sunday, a Sunday like no other. You'll want to bring your friends with you to this celebration of the birth of Christ. It will be an upbeat and meaningful celebration of the birth of our Savior.
Sunday, December 21st
Christ Birthday offering will be received during our morning worship service.
Sunday, December 21st 12:00 noon
Babysitting/Child Care. Do you have last minute things you need to get done before Christmas? Would it be a lot easier if you had babysitting/child care provided? Leave them here with well staffed child care providers and pick them up when you return for the 6:00 PM service. Sunday, December 21st 6:00 PM The Longest Night. December 21st is the winter solstice, making it the longest night of the year. For many, Christmas can be the longest season of the year. Christmas is a season of joy and good cheer. But for many, Christmas is also a time of sadness as we remember those who have passed away and are not with us this Christmas. Grief intensifies at Christmas. Loss is felt more during this season of joy. Join us for a reflective service where we give voice to the sadness that often comes with the Christmas season. Join us as we remember your loved ones. Wednesday, December 24th 6:00 PM Christmas Eve service. When the angels announced Jesus' arrival, they proclaimed "peace on earth, goodwill toward men." Peace is too often not the word we use to describe the craziness of Christmas. Tonight can be different. After surviving the busiest time of the year, slow down tonight as we celebrate this night of peace. You'll sing familiar carols, reflect by candlelight, and be offered communion.
